We know this as Broadleaf Thyme and It goes under several names including Cuban oregano, Spanish oregano, and Indian borage.
One traditional dish that we make is called “garlic pork” usually served around Christmas time. You can use Broadleaf thyme or Guyanese fine thyme.
Broadleaf thyme is very fragrant. The leaves are large, soft and have velvety texture. One of a few herbs that can do very well during winter indoor. Can be propagated easily, all you have to do is take the stem cutting and place it in water. When placed in soil, be careful not to over water, as I have made that mistake a few times. It does well in a bright sunny area but can still partial shade too.
Contains vitamin C and vitamin A and it also contains Omega-5 Fatty Acids!
