Crunchy, spicy chilli oil has been a family favourite, we get many request to keep making them. They’re perfect for gifting!
It’s also a favourite of ours and we add it to spice up many dishes or use it as a dipping sauce.
Dying Pepper can be done on a string at room temperature or use a dehydrator.
INGREDIENTS:
- 1-2 Cups Dried Chili Flakes
- 3-4 Cups Oil (your choice)
- 1 Cup Onion/Shallots
- 1 Cup Garlic
- 2 tbsp Sugar
- 1 tbsp Paprika
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 tbsp Soy Sauce
METHOD
Grind dried peppers to make chilli flakes. Cut onions and garlic into thin slices and in small batches fry in oil and remove when golden brown and crispy. Keep the oil on low to medium heat. In a glass bowl, mix chilli flakes, sugar, paprika, and salt. Then slowly pour the hot oil over. Lastly add soy sauce, fried garlic and fried onion. Enjoy!
